Criminal proceedings instituted against Russian actor Porechenkov

Ukraine representative to the EU Yeliseyev urged the EU to properly respond to the egregious crimes of Russian actor Porechenkov near the Ukrainian airport in Donetsk," reads a statement released by Ukraine's Mission to the EU on October 31.

The Ukrainian diplomat also said that when shelling the positions of Ukrainian servicemen, the Russian actor was wearing a helmet marked "Press," indicating the abuse and violations of international norms in the field of safety of journalists.
Earlier, a video was posted on the Internet on which Porechenkov, during his visit to Donetsk, and militants opened fire from a large-caliber machine gun in the direction of the Donetsk airport, which is held by Ukrainian troops.The Security Service of Ukraine and the Interior Ministry instituted criminal proceedings against Porechenkov for participation in the activity of illegal armed groups and terrorist activities.
