More than 200 civilians killed in the area of anti-terrorist operations in eastern Ukraine in the period from April 15 to June 11, Deputy Health Minister Ruslan Saliutin told a briefing at the Health Ministry on Wednesday.

"According to updated operational information, unfortunately, during the implementation of the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine, more than 200 civilians were killed. Out of these - 15 women and two children," Saliutin said. He added that one of the dead boys was 4 years old, the other, whose body is being identified, is about 14. "Now, appropriate actions continue on the identification of this deceased," Saliutin said. When asked by reporters how many civilians and how many terrorists were among the dead, Saliutin noted that medical workers do not have such information. "For us, there is no difference whom to help. The judiciary will decide this," he said. Head of protection of motherhood, childhood and sanitary maintenance department of the Health Ministry of Ukraine Olena Tereshchenko clarified, at the request of journalists, that the four-year-old child was killed in Sloviansk, when the bomb hit a residential house. The body of another boy was found in one of the streets in Sloviansk.

Acting Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Koval has said that the question of imposing martial law in the eastern regions of Ukraine is currently not on the agenda.

"Such a question is not on the agenda," he told reporters in Kyiv on Wednesday, when asked whether the subject of imposing martial law in the eastern regions of the country is relevant. Koval also said that the National Security and Defence Council had not held any meeting on this issue. He could not say when such a meeting will take place.
